When the club lights come up, another shift begins. The night city is run by people most daytime maps never mention: the overnight medics, the bakers, the security guards, the drivers who know every shortcut in the dark.
We spent a month riding with them, from the last train to the first delivery, collecting the small logistics that make the party possible — and the city tolerable afterward.
The party ends at 6. The city ends at 9. Somewhere in between, we all go home.
This is a love letter to the second shift, the people who close the city so the rest of us can open it again.
